M33 with Hydrogen Alpha485 viewsM33- The Triangulum Galaxy, data captured on September 20 and 26, 2008, and September 19, 2009. This is the same image as my earlier M33 Over Two Years but has had 90 minutes of Hydrogen Alpha added to the red in the image. Captured and calibrated in Maxim DL. Aligned and combined in CCDStack. Primary processing in PixInsight with touch-up in Photoshop.

M101 -- The Pinwheel Galaxy614 viewsM101 / NGC 5457, the Pinwheel Galaxy, a spiral galaxy in Ursa Major. Data acquired and reduced in Maxim DL, aligned and stacked in CCDStack 2, processed in PixInsight, and finished in Photoshop. There is some optical aberration, I think from the focal reducer, that distorts the stars, particularly at the top of the frame.
