I had to logon and thank you for the fix…I just got a new T61, loaded autocad and started getting the br_funcs.exe error. I almost went to Experts-Exchange…glad I didn’t.

Again Thanks for the painlessly easy fix.

Marina,

I found the file in another directory on the computer. I opened Windows Explorer, selected “My Computer,” clicked on the “Search” icon, and then selected “All files and folders” from the list on the left of the window titled “What do you want to look for?”

When the search window opens, I typed “zlib” for the filename. I then went to “More advanced options” at the bottom and made sure that I had selected “Search system folders,” “Search hidden files and folders,” and “Search subfolders.”

The list came up and there was a zlib.dll in C:\Program files\Common files\Lenovo with a date of 8-Feb-07. I renamed the older zlib.dll in c:\Windows\System32 to zlib_old.dll, and copied the newer one from the Lenovo directory to the System32 directory.

Hi, I came to you page through google, looking to understand this message error. I think I have exactly the problem you mention. Got a new Thinkpad T61 and just installed Autocad, and get this error message when starting my computer. I just dont fully understand how you found that later version of zlib.dll. Would you mind explaining how I have to do? Thank you for your help,
